The Reduction of Lead in Drinking Water Act goes into effect on January 4, 2014.
This act reduces the allowable lead content in all products that come in contact with drinking water to .25% (weighted average).
What does this mean to First Supply LLC, and to you, our customer?
Inventory of leaded brass products becomes obsolete on January 4, 2014. Manufacturers are indicating that slower moving leaded items may have their inventory depleted prior to April 1, 2013 and that once their inventory on these items is depleted they will be converted to no-lead.
Our no-lead transition is already beginning. It is critical that you, our customer, develop a plan for changing out inventory prior to the legislation going into effect.

Return requests of leaded products to First Supply LLC may be denied if the product cannot be reasonably resold prior to the January 4, 2014 deadline and the manufacturer is no longer allowing the return of the material to the factory.
